"The human population does not have to be bigger than it is now. -Brad Kong
Charles Dickens (1812-1870) was an English author who wrote Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol. He and his wife Catherine married in 1836, when Charles was 24 and she was 21. From then until the time of their divorce 22 years later, Catherine got pregnant and gave birth to 10 children. It shows that Dickens’ own childhood had been painful enough already. At the age of 12, with his father imprisoned for debt, he had to work in a shoe factory, pasting labels on jars of shoe polish for a few shillings each week; then, his parents had eight children and Charles was the second."
